This month we would like to thank Sixth Form students of Tendring Technology College for helping the Dementia Café on their volunteer day by raising £488.08.

Sixth Form students of TTC
Almost half of this amount was raised by Dominic Mase and Elouise Knight. A special thanks to them and thank you to everyone who continues to support us and who donated from around the Frinton and Kirby area where students collected.
This July, we also launched our bake sale campaign asking those local to Thorpe and in Thorpe to host their own Bake Sale in order to raise much needed funds for the café. For those who hosted, a very big thank you to you. Updates on the sale, to follow next month.
Lastly and by no means least, the Dementia Café has been offered a permanent stand at Greenwich Market in London. Over the last month, volunteers were trialling branded DC product. Sales went very well and after two trial days we can now confirm that we have been given the ok for a regular Saturday stall. We’re delighted and a little overwhelmed that support for a small local charity continues to come from far and wide. The market has been in existence since the fourteenth century and is world famous. Many small business began in the Greenwich Market space and went on to become a commercial success across London. We’ve been very lucky to have already made friends there with fellow market traders & we look forward to the future of the Dementia Café.
